About the role
- Create versatile and strategic messages to satisfy client objectives
- Create and implement social and digital education strategies, aligning community partnerships and identifying external forums to convey client stories and support thought leadership strategies
- Identify key stakeholders including diverse audiences, community leaders, elected leaders and opinion leaders to ensure the right message is being developed and delivered in an effective way
- Manage the full lifecycle of communications projects for clients, including project start up, resourcing, budget compliance and successful execution of deliverables
- Work collaboratively with project and design team to shape highly technical information into digestible messaging for targeted public consumption
- Participate in rapid response team and protocol to respond quickly to any media or social media issues
- Work a hybrid schedule, three days in the Morreale office
- Attend and manage in-person client events and functions both during and after hours
- Travel both locally and throughout the state of Illinois, as needed, to attend and manage in-person client events and functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a communications-related field or previous PR agency experience
- 5+ years of communications project management experience, including managing project deliverables and project teams
- 5+ years of professional experience in the areas of communications and marketing
- Demonstrated analytical skills to solve problems and find the best way to convey a message
- Demonstrated creative ability to produce exciting and interesting content
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to drive project timelines to success
- Ability to track multiple tasks for multiple projects to keep on time and budget
- Experience working with client teams, demonstrating utmost professionalism
- Ability to collaborate with design team to produce targeted collateral materials
- The ability to attend and manage in-person client events and functions both during and after hours
- The ability to travel throughout the state of IL, as needed, for specific client events
- The ability to work a hybrid schedule, three days per week in the Morreale office
- Must reside in Illinois and have reliable personal transportation
