About the role

  • Lead and oversee all U.S. projects within the online Violence Prevention & Safety practices.
  • Ensure programs are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Maintain accountability for measurable impact, contractual performance, and client satisfaction.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for client concerns, mitigating risk before issues reach executive leadership.
  • Establish and enforce consistent performance expectations across projects and teams.
  • Monitor renewal readiness and ensure each engagement strengthens Moonshot’s long-term position.
  • Codify and formalize delivery standards across the U.S. portfolio.
  • Implement consistent project management methodologies, reporting structures, and quality control mechanisms.
  • Strengthen contract compliance monitoring and financial discipline across engagements.
  • Train senior managers and project leaders on shared delivery standards and expectations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, workflows, and operational efficiency.
  • Build durable infrastructure that reduces variability in execution and enables scalable growth.
  • Oversee budget management and margin performance across the U.S. portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and reporting obligations.
  • Align staffing models and resource allocation with revenue forecasts and delivery demands.
  • Partner with internal finance and operations teams to maintain disciplined financial oversight.
  • Partner with the Chief Strategy Officer and founders to drive growth of the U.S. practice.
  • Originate and shape new opportunities within state, local, and federal markets.
  • Cultivate and maintain senior-level relationships across the homeland security and violence prevention ecosystem.
  • Contribute to capture strategy, proposal development, and competitive positioning.
  • Represent Moonshot at conferences, client meetings, and professional forums to strengthen market presence.
  • Convert practitioner credibility and trusted relationships into awarded contracts.
  • Supervise senior managers overseeing U.S. engagements and ensure clear accountability structures.
  • Build leadership capacity within the practice through mentorship, coaching, and performance management.
  • Clarify roles, escalation pathways, and decision rights within the U.S. portfolio.
  • Foster a culture of operational rigor, continuous improvement, and professional excellence.
  • Align delivery capacity with strategic growth priorities set by the Chief Strategy Officer.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of professional experience within homeland security, counterterrorism, public safety, violence prevention, or closely related fields.
  • Significant experience within a consulting or professional services firm serving government clients, with direct exposure to structured delivery models, contract management, and client engagement at scale.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience overseeing multi-project portfolios and managing senior managers or team leads within a government-facing environment.
  • Proven ability to establish, implement, and enforce delivery standards, project management systems, and quality control processes.
  • Experience managing government contracts, including performance monitoring, reporting requirements, and financial oversight.
  • Demonstrated success contributing to revenue growth through opportunity shaping, client relationship development, and competitive proposal support.
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to represent the organization credibly with senior agency officials and professional audiences.
  • Willingness to travel approximately for client engagement, relationship development, and public representation.
  • Candidates will be expected to undertake any relevant security clearance procedures per the needs of clients.
