About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work directly with the Senior Director of Communications & Marketing
- Draft, edit, and proofread press releases, newsletter articles, website copy, social media posts, and annual report features
- Assist in maintaining consistent branding and messaging across Monell’s communications channels
- Support the development and scheduling of social media and digital marketing content
- Conduct background research and interviews for storytelling and media outreach
- Help update and organize content on Monell’s website and intranet
- Contribute ideas for communications campaigns and events promoting Monell’s research and mission
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current undergraduate or graduate student in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, English, or a related field
- Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Interest in science communication and public engagement
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content management systems a plus
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional setting
- 10–15 hours per week
