About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide consistent, individualized education that ensures students continue making academic progress
  • Deliver academic instruction aligned with state standards and/or students’ IEPs/504 plans
  • Support social-emotional and behavioral needs of students served
  • Complete documentation timely and accurately
  • Develop and implement IEP plans as needed utilizing testing and assessment data
  • Maintain student records in alignment with regulatory procedures
  • Assist with reintegration into home schools
  • Complete all other relevant responsibilities assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors: Education (Required)
  • Valid North Carolina teaching license in Special Education: EC General Curriculum (K–12) or Cross-Categorical (K–12)
  • 1 year of experience working with children/adolescents with a mental health diagnosis and/or substance use disorder
