Academic Teacher, Child Crisis
MONARCHAcademic Teacher providing consistent, individualized education for children experiencing crises. Supporting students' emotional, behavioral, and therapeutic needs while ensuring academic progress.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide consistent, individualized education that ensures students continue making academic progress
- Support social-emotional and behavioral needs of students served
- Complete documentation timely and accurately
- Develop and implement IEP plans as needed utilizing testing and assessment data
- Maintain student records in alignment with regulatory procedures
- Assist with reintegration into home schools
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelors: Education (Required)
- Valid North Carolina teaching license in Special Education: EC General Curriculum (K–12) or Cross-Categorical (K–12) - North Carolina Department of Public Instruction
- 1 year of experience working with children/adolescents with a mental health diagnosis and/or substance use disorder
