About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee paraprofessionals providing services
- Provide direct nursing care
- Carry out treatment and supportive care as directed by the Prescriber or Vice President of Operations
- Assess and document individuals' appropriateness for services
- Educate individuals about mental illness and substance use disorder
- Participate in the development of discharge and referral plans
- Ensure proper referrals or placements for individuals needing a higher level of care
- Monitor health and safety of individuals receiving services
- Crisis intervention, medication administration, referral for emergency medical treatment as necessary
- Attend and participate in meetings and training as required
- Maintain certification in all agency, state and federal training requirements
- Demonstrate compliance with agency policies and procedures and state and federal statutes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associates: Nursing (Required)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - State Board of Nursing
- 1 Year Experience in a crisis management setting or service during which the individual provided crisis response (Required)
- 1 Year Experience working with children or adults in a behavioral health capacity (Required)
