About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Direct all business development and marketing activities in the assigned region
  • Develop and implement programs focused on hospice revenue, patient census, and partnering opportunities
  • Develop strategic sales plans under the Regional Director of Business Development
  • Contribute to the overall marketing plan and budget and manage implementation
  • Coordinate vacancy coverage for sales territories
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align business development activities with operational and clinical goals
  • Participate in customer calls, program and project implementations, and service recovery
  • Maximize referral-closing opportunities to grow market share
  • Track and analyze market and business development team performance trends
  • Maintain sales and marketing guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Build referral relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, professionals, media, churches, and community leaders
  • Organize and represent the organization at professional organizations, conferences, trade shows, health fairs, and community events
  • Oversee assigned business development teams and provide support, training, and technical assistance
  • Coach team members to meet or exceed activity, conversion, admission, sales, and growth goals
  • Establish performance expectations and create training programs using needs-based selling techniques
  • Ensure consistent CRM use to document and maximize database utilization
  • Analyze accounts and markets to identify changing sales potential
  • Foster a positive culture of growth and development for retention
  • Support operations, regional goals, and company goals related to business development
  • Contribute to annual sales forecasting and regional business plans
  • Explain Moments Hospice services and programs and make consultative recommendations
  • Provide customer-service support and training aligned with Moments Hospice values
  • Participate in branch strategic planning and ensure the referral-to-admission process is followed
  • Maintain Moments Hospice policies and protocols
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience leading business development and marketing efforts
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic sales plans
  • Experience managing, training, coaching, and directing business development teams
  • Ability to analyze market and performance trends
  • Experience using customer relationship and marketing information systems (CRM)
  • Experience with referral, revenue, patient census, and sales growth strategies
  • Ability to engage consultatively with prospects and customers
  • Ability to conduct public speaking and networking activities
  • Ability to collaborate with clinical, operational, and business development teams
  • Ability to travel to customer calls, conferences, trade shows, professional organizations, and community events as needed
