About the role

  • Design, develop, test, and implement stored procedures, functions, packages, views, cursors, triggers, and complex SQL queries.
  • Ensure that database programs adhere to company standards and best practices.
  • Tune queries for optimal performance and provide recommendations to improve efficiency.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for database solutions.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Stay updated on new and emerging database technologies to enhance system performance and capabilities.
  • Work closely with team members, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in PostgreSQL and Oracle SQL/PLSQL.
  • Strong command of PostgreSQL and Oracle SQL/PLSQL, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and complex SQL statements.
  • Proficiency in Unix shell scripting is a plus.
  • Excellent debugging and problem-analysis skills, able to resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Hands-on experience in tuning SQL queries for performance improvement.
  • Ability to analyze and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines.
