About the role
- Build and maintain dashboards that segment credit and fraud risk profiles, driving visibility across portfolios
- Dive deep into large datasets to uncover trends, anomalies, and behavioral drivers impacting portfolio performance and loss provisioning
- Support the forecasting and analysis of credit loss provisions through data-backed insights and strategic commentary
- Monitor external market trends and macroeconomic indicators to anticipate emerging risks and opportunities
- Develop tools and frameworks to enable other teams to run their own data queries and analyses efficiently
- Craft clear, compelling data narratives and present findings to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in credit analytics, fraud risk, or related fields (e.g., collections, recoveries, or portfolio management)
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python; familiarity with Looker is a plus
- Experience working with large datasets to extract actionable insights
- Ability to communicate complex data in clear, strategic terms to non-technical stakeholders
- A curious mindset and ability to leverage tools and AI to deeply understand trends
- Knowledge of the Canadian subprime lending space is a bonus
