About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assess, plan, and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients according to nutrition therapy standards
- Provide care for inpatient and/or outpatient caseloads
- Provide occasional weekend and/or holiday coverage if staffing needs warrant
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team regarding patient needs
- Complete assessments and reassessments of assigned patients according to established standards of care and practice
- Select assessment tools, tests, and measures; set goals
- Participate in interdisciplinary team planning and coordination of care
- Participate in education in-services and presentations as needed
- Accurately document each evaluation and treatment session in the electronic medical record
- Accurately document billing charges
- Contribute to presentations, publications, student/intern supervision, and departmental education efforts
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in nutrition
- Current Registration with CDR or RD eligible with successful registration within 6 months of hire date
- Temporary Florida licensure required if not currently licensed in the State of Florida
- BLS Certification
- One year of clinical experience preferred
- Clinical experience in an acute care hospital during Dietitian externship will be accepted
