About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with activities of daily living for oncology patients
- Provide basic nursing care to the oncology population
- Maintain a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Adhere to applicable local, state, and federal rules and regulations and accrediting-body requirements
- Float to multiple clinical areas within Moffitt Cancer Center as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma/GED
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- CNA is not required for students who have completed a nursing fundamentals course and are actively enrolled in an LPN, ASN, ADN, or BSN nursing program
- Students must submit transcripts to the Manager at least twice per calendar year
- Students must provide authorization to test (ATT-NCLEX RN or ATT-NCLEX PN), schedule, and pass the test within 90 days of graduation from the applicable nursing program
- Ability to float to multiple clinical areas within Moffitt Cancer Center
- Ability to provide basic nursing care to oncology patients
