About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist physicians with evaluation, management, and treatment of patients with diverse medical problems, procedures, and co-morbidities
Provide patient care as a member of an interdisciplinary team
Coordinate and optimize patient care with multiple specialists
Correlate subjective and objective data to formulate differential or working diagnoses
Formulate treatment plans for medical conditions within scope of practice
Perform minor surgical procedures within scope of practice when applicable
Prescribe oral and IV medications when appropriate and within scope of practice
Document patient care according to medical staff rules

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree at minimum; master's degree preferred
Graduate of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant program
Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain one
Certification by the appropriate accreditation body
Active BLS certification, AHA approved
Experience in oncology or general internal medicine
Field-specific experience preferred
Ability to work within a defined scope of practice under supervising physicians or specific protocols
Patient-focused clinical practice
Superior communication and collaborative teamwork skills
