About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist physicians with evaluation, management, and treatment of patients with diverse medical problems, procedures, and co-morbidities
- Provide patient care as a member of an interdisciplinary team
- Coordinate and optimize patient care with multiple specialists
- Correlate subjective and objective data to formulate differential or working diagnoses
- Formulate treatment plans for medical conditions within scope of practice
- Perform minor surgical procedures within scope of practice when applicable
- Prescribe oral and IV medications when appropriate and within scope of practice
- Document patient care according to medical staff rules
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree at minimum; master's degree preferred
- Graduate of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant program
- Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain one
- Certification by the appropriate accreditation body
- Active BLS certification, AHA approved
- Experience in oncology or general internal medicine
- Field-specific experience preferred
- Ability to work within a defined scope of practice under supervising physicians or specific protocols
- Patient-focused clinical practice
- Superior communication and collaborative teamwork skills
