About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide inpatient float-pool coverage across Moffitt Cancer Center Campus and Moffitt McKinley Campus when regular staff are unavailable
  • Use the nursing process to assess, plan, manage, and evaluate quality care for cancer patients and families
  • Address biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, and discharge-planning needs
  • Maintain timely baseline and comparative documentation with age-appropriate consideration
  • Integrate patient- and family-centered care and quality caring factors into practice
  • Identify, document, and provide patient education based on patient learning needs
  • Participate in evidence-based improvement activities related to the area of practice
  • Participate in professional development aligned with nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and job expectations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of experience in an ICU setting preferred for the ideal candidate
  • Acute care experience
  • Oncology experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science of Nursing, or Associate's degree in Nursing plus 1 year of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Florida, or valid multi-state privilege to practice in Florida
  • If licensed in another eNLC compact state with multi-state privileges, must declare Florida as primary state of residence within 60 days of hire
  • Master's degree preferred
