About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in the completion of construction projects by preparing engineering design and documents and confirming specifications
- Assist in the design of construction projects by studying project concept, architectural drawings, and models
- Assist in site visits for construction support
- Assist in preparation of engineering designs by collecting and studying reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photographs, and tests on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and related topographical and geologic data
- Assist in determining project costs by calculating labor, material, and related costs
- Assist in the creation of feasibility studies by analyzing engineering design, conducting environmental impact studies, and assembling data
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required
- 0-2 years of experience as a civil engineer, preferably with experience in site layout, stormwater, erosion control, utilities, and other infrastructure systems
- AutoCAD exposure
- Microstation, Civil3D, or SWMM exposure a strong plus
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
- Availability and willingness to travel
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check in compliance with NIST 800-171
