About the role
- Develop, deliver, and maintain high-quality training programs for mortgage underwriters
- Design and facilitate training programs covering mortgage underwriting, credit analysis, collateral review, regulatory requirements, and internal processes
- Assess learner progress using knowledge checks, file reviews, QA findings, and performance metrics
- Adapt training content and delivery methods based on learner performance and feedback
- Collaborate with various teams to refine training content and align with best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from a Four (4) year College or University
- 5+ years of hands-on conventional mortgage underwriting experience
- Underwriting knowledge or certifications in FHA, VA, USDA, or other government-backed programs
- Experience with Non-Agency or Non-QM products
- Background in instructional design, adult learning theory, or Learning & Development
- Familiarity with LMS platforms or eLearning development tools
- Technical Skills: Expertise in mortgage underwriting, risk assessment, and guideline interpretation
- Proficiency with LOS platforms, DU/LP, and Microsoft Office tools
- Strong presentation design skills (PowerPoint, visual storytelling, structured instructional flow)
