About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop technical recommendations or action plans to address the needs and feedback from Operations through alignment with Technical Management (Tier 3), Fleet Maintenance Support (Tier 2 Technical) and Operations areas.
- Contribute to fleet performance improvement by analyzing MOCs, TQs, NOIs, etc., performing RCA/FMEAs and providing technical recommendations to support the Operations team.
- Support Operational Reliability and performance with respect to the Maintenance Plan and guidelines by monitoring and analyzing results (especially the maintenance status of criticality #1 and #2 equipment), conducting proper root cause assessments and providing technical review/recommendations and required resources, when necessary.
- Support CMMS governance by updating and monitoring information related to hierarchy, job descriptions and maintenance plans.
- Monitor process safety barrier KPIs and provide technical recommendations, when necessary, to ensure process effectiveness and keep facility operations within ALARP levels.
- Participate in risk analysis workshops and safety reviews to contribute Maintenance expertise and support the Operations team.
- Help protect MODEC from non-compliance with technical standards and/or specifications by conducting internal audits to identify procedural deviations and providing technical recommendations or action plans within the scope of the Maintenance Reliability & CMMS Governance Coordination.
- Support and actively participate in external and internal audits related to the company’s maintenance execution and philosophy.
- Support the annual corporate budget planning for MdB (operating and capital expenditure) for the Maintenance Reliability & CMMS Governance discipline by providing inputs based on previous experience, technical knowledge and market best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the IMS by tracking and updating project status and monitoring the implementation of IMS Documents under the Maintenance Reliability & CMMS Governance discipline.
- Ensure maintenance strategies established by Tier 3 are implemented in fleet routines in compliance with MODEC and regulatory guidelines, protecting human life at sea and the environment. This is challenging and requires constant attention and effort.
- Develop close and effective communication with other tiers, absorbing all information and demands from operations due to the need for alignment between Tier 2 Reliability and Operations to ensure proper fulfillment of Operations’ primary needs.
- Ensure communication and alignment with the offshore team and support their needs to achieve compliance with maintenance plans given the physical remoteness of many offshore units.
- Identify and manage the primary repeat offenders on offshore units due to the impacts of failures that can directly affect availability, maintenance, safety and asset integrity.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- CREA (Brazilian Engineering Council registration) is mandatory.
- Minimum intermediate level of English is required. Fluent English is a plus. Advanced Portuguese is required.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
- Basic knowledge of CMMS (preferably SAP) is expected.
- Basic knowledge of Power BI is expected.
