About the role

  • Responsible for the strategic and operational purchasing of non-food items for the markets — from assortment planning to product availability.
  • Develop purchasing strategies with a focus on price stability, quality and supply security, and conduct independent supplier negotiations through to contract conclusion.
  • Monitor the market, analyze trends and identify new sourcing options and products to optimize the assortment.
  • Ensure that assigned items are available in the right quantities and on time, taking inventory and sales data into account.
  • Maintain master data in the ERP system, manage contracts and monitor volume agreements.
  • Work closely with suppliers and internal departments (e.g. sales, logistics, marketing).

Requirements

  • Successfully completed commercial vocational training or a degree in business administration — ideally with a focus on purchasing, retail or supply chain management.
  • 2–3 years of professional experience in strategic or operational purchasing, preferably in non-food categories or in multi-branch retail.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a confident manner when dealing with suppliers.
  • Entrepreneurial thinking, a solution-oriented approach and the ability to maintain an overview even with complex tasks.
  • Excellent analytical skills, structured working methods and confident use of Excel and common ERP systems.
  • Enjoy working in a team and the drive to optimize processes.
  • Strong communication skills, initiative and an independent working style.
