About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the overall quarterly and annual closing and consolidation processes
- Prepare annual solo reports, tax reports, and supporting incentive plans
- Oversee global and domestic subsidiaries for consistent accounting policies, closing procedures, and internal financial reporting controls in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
- Act as the primary internal contact for external independent auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits
- Manage preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, including 10-Q and 10-K filings, and press releases
- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and standardization of accounting and reporting processes across the group
- Identify, assess, and implement new accounting standards and SEC reporting requirements
- Work with the accounting team to establish and implement accounting policies and procedures
- Complete ad-hoc tasks and projects
- Manage and develop the corporate and reporting team, including prioritization, coaching, and review of deliverables
- Partner with senior stakeholders and external auditors to support global financial operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of professional experience, preferably in corporate accounting
- Experience managing a controlling/reporting team required; public company experience advantageous
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- CPA from a Big 4 accounting firm required
- Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite advantageous
- Tax knowledge
- US GAAP knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal English required
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple competing tasks simultaneously
