About the role
- Using a hands-on approach, you will apply your knowledge of automotive electrical/electronic systems, hardware, embedded software and automotive protocols to create safe, precise and reliable interactions between our telematics devices and vehicles. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing telematics solutions that account for the peculiarities of different vehicle architectures across multiple light vehicle models;
- Visiting OEM yards and Localiza branches to perform on-site testing with different light vehicle versions;
- Enabling the capture of telemetry data from vehicles via analog signals, digital signals or protocol sniffing;
- Enabling electronic devices to interact with vehicle actuators via analog signals, digital signals or protocol interactions;
- Ensuring high-quality installation and removal of devices and accessories by internal and third-party teams;
- Preparing technical reports and diagnostics for non-conformity situations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic or Automation Engineering.
- Availability for a hybrid work schedule in Curitiba, PR or São Paulo.
- Previous experience in any of the following segments: automotive accessories, telematics, connected vehicles, electronic devices or IoT;
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with operators, technicians, suppliers and multidisciplinary teams;
- Ability to self-manage, stay organized and apply creativity to propose new solutions for data capture and actuator interaction challenges;
- Knowledge of CAN/OBD-II protocol and diagnostic tools;
- Intermediate knowledge of vehicle modules responsible for interactions with immobilizers, door locking/unlocking and fuel injection systems;
- Intermediate knowledge of automotive standards and regulations related to light vehicles (ISO, SAE);
- Experience with databases (SQL, etc.) and data visualization tools (Power BI, etc.)
- Intermediate skills in designing automotive electrical/electronic components (harnesses, sensors, etc.);
- Practical and flexible profile (we are looking for a collaborative individual who wants to improve our products and processes with a hands-on approach);
- Knowledge of quality and problem-solving tools such as Lean, PDCA, 5-Why, Root Cause Analysis, Pareto, Ishikawa, FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA and Six Sigma;
