About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsibility for a 12-member design team.
- Shaping the technical development of sophisticated product solutions.
- Development of customer-specific product and system solutions.
- Design of individual parts, assemblies and more complex technical solutions through to series production readiness.
- Managing and prioritizing design projects in close coordination with Sales, R&D, Purchasing and Production.
- Acting as technical sparring partner for internal stakeholders and customers on complex design issues.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Several years of design experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least some leadership experience.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.
- Proficient with CAD systems (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Knowledge of project management.
- Strong communication skills.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to lead a team with tact.
