About the role

  • Define and apply voice and tone: Work closely with Design and Product teams to establish and maintain consistent voice and tone guidelines across all user touchpoints.
  • Create impactful microcopy: Write interface text (buttons, error messages, labels, instructions, etc.) that is clear, concise, useful, and effectively guides the user.
  • Design conversational flows: Develop and optimize copy for chatbots, virtual assistants, and other conversational interactions, ensuring smoothness and naturalness.
  • Collaborate on research projects: Participate in user research to understand users' needs, pain points, and the language they use, applying these insights to your writing.
  • Work with prototypes and wireframes: Contribute from early design stages, bringing a copy perspective to the development of flows and interfaces.
  • Review and optimize existing content: Analyze and refactor text in existing products, continuously seeking improvements in clarity and usability.
  • Ensure accessibility: Write copy that considers the needs of users with disabilities, ensuring content is accessible to everyone.
  • Contribute to style guides: Develop and maintain documentation and content style guides for the team, promoting standardization and quality.
  • Present and advocate solutions: Communicate copy decisions to stakeholders, justifying choices with data and UX principles.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of professional experience specifically as a UX Writer, UX Content Writer, Content Designer, or in similar roles with a strong focus on writing for digital products.
  • Exceptional command of Portuguese: Impeccable grammar, spelling, syntax, and vocabulary.
  • Clarity and concision: Ability to convey complex information simply, directly, and concisely.
  • Tone and voice adaptability: Ability to adapt brand language for different audiences and contexts within the product.
  • Storytelling: Ability to create engaging narratives and communication flows that guide the user.
  • UX design and usability principles: Strong understanding of how users interact with digital products, user-centered design principles, and information architecture.
  • Analytical thinking: Ability to analyze research data (quantitative and qualitative) to inform writing decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Systemic perspective: Understand the impact of copy across the entire user flow and the overall product experience.
  • Agile methodologies: Familiarity with frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban, and how writing fits into those cycles.
