About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop onboard software for automated forklifts using ROS2, C++, and Linux
Integrate different software and hardware components into a unified system
Evaluate, integrate, and adapt code from research partners and open-source communities
Design and develop long-term system solutions for future AGV platforms
Test and validate software using simulators and real vehicles
Collaborate with corporate-level development teams and cross-functional stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

3-5 years of experience in software development or similar technical roles
Experience with ROS2, C++, and Linux
Understanding of robotics, automation systems, or system integration
Fluent written and spoken English skills
Ability to work independently in an international environment
Suitable educational background (e.g. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Automation Technology, Robotics, Computer Science, or similar)
Python programming skills (considered an advantage)
Experience with Agile development methods and Scrum (considered an advantage)
Familiarity with Git, JIRA, and Azure DevOps (considered an advantage)
Experience with PLC systems or industrial automation (considered an advantage)
Finnish language skills (considered an advantage)
