About the role
- Maintain all areas of the hangar, offices, and work areas
- Manage systems for tracking aircraft consumables, tooling, and facility supplies, ensuring compliance with airworthiness standards
- Safely operate and maneuver aircraft tugs for fueling, launching, and recovery
- Assist with aircraft stocking, preparation, and readiness for flight operations
- Develop and implement maintenance and operational schedules for hangar facilities, ground support equipment, and aircraft tug operations
- Evaluate workflow and determine staffing requirements based on flight schedules and operational priorities
- Collaborate with IT and HR to ensure facilities support broader company operations
- Exercise independent judgment in prioritizing tasks during irregular operations (weather delays, maintenance events, last-minute flight schedule changes)
- Assist with the coordination of space planning, office moves, and renovations
- Conduct routine inspections of the hangar and report any maintenance or safety concerns
- Support mechanics with tools, parts, and basic tasks as needed
- Monitor and maintain hanger access for visitors and team members
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure efficient and safe hangar operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in facility management, aviation operations, or related field
- Ability to operate ground support equipment (tug, tow bar, etc.) safely and effectively (training provided if necessary)
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness, organization, and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist maintenance staff
- Valid driver’s license required; airport credentials may be required depending on location
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Safety-minded with strong situational awareness
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs
