💰 $112,000 - $140,000 per year
About the role
- Lead and deploy HR strategic initiatives at the local plant and across the business unit
- Mentor and coach other HR leaders
- Serve as an active member of the local management team providing leadership on HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations
- Lead the Flower Mound HR Team (1 Sr. HR Generalist, 2 HR Generalists, 1 HR Coordinator)
- Provide effective communications and development opportunities for the HR team
- Build relationships with employees at all levels and manage complex HR initiatives
- Manage change processes within the location ensuring clear understanding of roles and responsibilities
- Analyze workforce trends, data, and statistics and provide professional guidance to management
- Provide coaching to managers and supervisors
- Assist in development and implementation of HR policies and train functional managers
- Continually improve effectiveness of local HR programs to improve team member satisfaction and relations
- Assist managers with performance management
- Engage in leadership development, succession planning, training, and development
- Participate in the Safety Committee and play an active role in safety policy and training rollout
- Investigate team member concerns objectively and recommend resolutions
- Oversee all Workers Compensation issues and ensure proper case management
- Provide support for Facility Safety initiatives and OSHA compliance
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and Comp & Benefits teams on recruiting and benefits escalation
- Oversee benefits enrollment, terminations, 401K, STD, LTD and related administration
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s and/or Master's degree in a relevant field
- 10 or more years HR Generalist/leadership experience or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Minimum of ten years of Human Resources leadership experience in talent development, team member engagement, staffing, retention, safety management/workers compensation, and managing the overall team member life cycle experience
- Experience leading an HR team (preferred)
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of all aspects of HR including benefits, recruiting, compensation, training, payroll, policies & procedures
- Knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations regarding employment practices
- Great communication skills and ability to work well with manufacturing team members and leaders
- Collaboration skills working within HR and across multiple functions and teams
- Ability to manage and prioritize time efficiently and effectively
- Superior presentation and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
