Coordinates activities of Field Service corporate team handling service orders, parts and customer service
Serves as product expert and contact for Group and Team Leaders
Assists employees with difficult or unusual services and disposition decisions
Safely operates hand and power tools
Provides feedback to leaders about manufacturing problems and solutions
Ensures work is performed safely and professionally
Determines if service is warranty or installation issue and notifies distributors
Schedules and leads staff meetings
Ensures service vehicle maintenance and cleanliness
Fulfills job duties of staff supervised ~50% of time
Administers Field Service software, produces reports, downloads and analyzes data
Updates and monitors work order status via CRM and dashboards
Final decision maker on inspection of incoming parts and warranty decisions
Creates long- and short-term plans, sets targets and deadlines
Delegates tasks, makes project decisions, coordinates multiple units
Communicates with service leadership and stakeholders
Performs quality control and adjusts schedules and targets
Coordinates internal resources and third parties/vendors
Ensures resource availability and allocation
Develops detailed project plans and manages changes to scope, schedule, costs
Reports and escalates to management as needed
Establishes and maintains relationships with third parties/vendors
Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation
Develops comprehensive project plans for clients and team members
Performs other related duties as assigned
Develops spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps
Estimates project costs and adheres to estimates
Water testing and analyzing
Frequent overnight travel required
Reside within assigned territory within 45 minutes of assigned warehouse
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required
Some college or technical education preferred
Excellent knowledge of PGT products and warranties
Excellent knowledge of the safe use of hand and power tools
Minimum of 4 - 6 years of field service experience in Window and Door service
Preferred 3 - 4 years of PGT specific service experience
1-2 years of management experience preferred
Commercial construction experience preferred
Familiar with iPad and other computer devices
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Windows
Ability to work autonomously and in a team
Strong understanding of business procedures, practices, policies
Strong conflict resolution skills
Clean driving record per PGT safe driving policy
Strong English language skills
Ability to read and comprehend instructions
Ability to write correspondence
Ability to present information one-on-one and small groups
Bi-lingual English and Spanish is a plus
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide
Able to read a tape measure
Assess complex situations and make appropriate decisions
Ability to establish priorities
Diagnose causes of repair issues and develop corrective actions
Recognize situations that could result in potential liability
Notify appropriate PGT personnel for guidance
Arial lift truck operation certificate
Valid Class D driver’s license
