- MITER Brands™ is a residential window and door manufacturer that provides a leading portfolio of window and door brands for the new construction and replacement segments. The Internal Communications Specialist is critical in shaping the team member experience by developing and executing effective communication strategies that inform, engage, and inspire our team. Reporting to the Communications Manager, this role will enhance transparency across the organization and promote the MITER Brands culture through timely and consistent messaging. Draft, edit, and distribute internal communications, including company announcements, newsletters, leadership messages, and intranet content. Support the planning and execution of internal campaigns tied to organizational goals, culture initiatives, change management, and team engagement. Partner with HR, Operations, and other departments to ensure communication is aligned with strategic priorities and enhances team member understanding. Maintain and update internal communications channels (e.g., intranet, email platforms, digital signage, chat apps). Measure the effectiveness of internal communications and recommend improvements based on engagement data and team member feedback. Assist in coordinating logistics and messaging for internal events, including town halls, team briefings, and recognition programs. Help maintain a consistent voice and tone in internal content that reflects the MITER Brands culture and quality pillars. Monitor the communications calendar to ensure strategic messaging cadence and avoid conflicts. Support Talent Acquisition with team member stories and company value proposition messaging.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field. 2+ years of experience in internal communications, team member engagement, or related discipline. Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with an ability to tailor content for diverse team member audiences. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail. Proficiency and experience with internal platforms like UKG, WorkVivo, WorkDay, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, or similar tools. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
