About the role

  • Participate in the development of all safety guidelines/policies and related environmental health and safety communications and educational information to establish boundaries, guidelines, and best practices for acceptable behavior at MITER Brands
  • Administration of the EHS Management Systems that are currently being utilized, including providing daily guidance and direction to leadership level on various aspects (such as submitting incidents and performing follow-up actions)
  • Continuously monitor daily incidents from all MITER Brands locations for reporting accuracy and ensure they are effectively driven towards closure in a timely manner
  • Enter and maintain all recordable injuries in the OSHA 300 log and submit to OSHA on a yearly basis for all locations
  • Provide and Support development of leading and lagging indicators to track performance against targets and objectives at all locations
  • Maintain all recordkeeping of EHS Policies and Procedures
  • Work with all MITER Brands EHS team members to ensure that all EHS documents are appropriately maintained, formatted, and controlled within the Quality Management System
  • Perform regular trends of EHS systems, reports, and matrixes
  • Present various EHS-related training to individuals and groups at different levels across the MITER Brands portfolio
  • Perform other duties and functions as determined by MITER Brands EHS Directors and VP of Safety Excellence
  • Conduct quarterly analysis of safety data from all MITER Brands locations to identify trends and patterns in incidents and communicate those to site EHS and Operational teams
  • Ensure continuity across all EHS programs and systems

Requirements

  • High School / College or EHS knowledge
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience directing people or working in group setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills as you will work one-on-one with all levels of the organization
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Prior experience training small and large groups.
