About the role

  • Represent the company professionally while diagnosing and repairing windows and doors
  • Serve as key point of contact on large projects and train lower-level Field Service Technicians
  • Communicate with customers via telephone or face-to-face; determine urgency and schedule service calls
  • Order parts, reschedule when necessary, troubleshoot product issues and implement corrective plans
  • Safely operate hand and power tools; perform complex repairs independently
  • Work with Team Leader to plan and coordinate large or complicated projects; act as key contact when Team Leader absent
  • Provide feedback to leadership and manufacturing regarding performance and manufacturing problems
  • Document service calls, submit closing information timely, and ensure job site is returned to original condition
  • Maintain parts inventory and ensure service vehicle is properly maintained and clean
  • Adhere to company and department safety and work policies; complete inspections as required
  • Travel overnight as required and perform work at varying job sites and heights
