About the role
- Research disputed orders to identify errors, correct issues, and prevent future occurrences.
- Receive service calls from dealers or homeowners and document product-related issues.
- Troubleshoot problems to avoid unnecessary service calls or Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs).
- Investigate sales orders to determine warranty status and company responsibility for service or repairs.
- Enter service request details into the computer system and update dealers on service call status.
- Coordinate service calls with field service representatives.
- Order replacement or missing parts as needed for service calls.
- Communicate with dealers and service reps to gather information on disputed errors and scheduled service calls.
- Prepare and enter replacement orders, including all relevant order details and reason codes.
- Submit orders for reconditioning service for vinyl products under warranty.
- Collaborate with internal departments (Customer Service, Sales, Manufacturing, Production Scheduling, Transportation, Service, Warehouse) to resolve customer service issues.
Requirements
- A strong, extensive knowledge of PGT products and parts, alongside a passionate commitment to continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
- Comprehensive familiarity with PGT procedures, including shipping, Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs), production releases, and service order processing.
- Demonstrated proficiency in AS400 for efficient service call entry, order processing, and accurate data retrieval.
- Experience with PC-based software, including Microsoft Office.
- On-the-job training in RVI and Frontier systems is required.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with both internal teams and external customers.
- Mathematical: Basic calculation skills required.
- Reasoning: Ability to investigate issues and determine effective solutions while maintaining composure under stress.
