About the role

  • Lead organizational efforts in Home Health and Hospice to ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards; serve as subject matter expert on regulatory intent, deficiencies, and Plans of Correction (PoC).
  • Oversee policy development and review to align with licensing and accreditation requirements; maintain congruence between policies, procedures, and evolving regulations.
  • Manage improvement programs and survey preparedness, including mock surveys, system reviews, and corrective action plans to ensure sustained compliance.
  • Identify educational needs based on survey findings and develop evidence-based training programs; implement ongoing staff education on compliance, accreditation, and regulatory updates.
  • Analyze data from key sources to identify strengths, improvement areas, and performance goals; advise leadership on compliance risks and operational decisions requiring legal input.
  • Act as liaison between surveyors and internal departments (legal, compliance, operations); foster cross-functional collaboration to strengthen governance and reduce duplication.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree with a clinical focus.
  • Five (5) years of healthcare regulatory management experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years leadership experience, preferred.
  • Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of State, CHAP, and Federal regulations in Home Health and Hospice.
