About the role

  • Building and maintaining products on top of cutting-edge generative AI models for music and sound.
  • High degrees of ownership: responsible for shipping end-to-end features across the front and back ends of the stack.
  • Collaborate closely with research and growth/sales teams to identify practical opportunities and turn them into actionable engineering tasks.
  • Work comfortably with tech stack: TypeScript, React, Tailwind, shadcn, and Convex as backend.
  • Use AWS Lambda and S3 for integrations, automation, and deployment workflows.
  • Use modern AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude Code) to maintain high craftsmanship while moving swiftly.
  • Communicate clearly with teammates to drive the technical direction jointly.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional web development experience, preferably in fast-moving product or startup environments.
  • Strong expertise in TypeScript (both frontend and backend), React, Tailwind, component libraries.
  • Solid understanding of backend fundamentals: data modeling, migrations, performance, API design, security and data workflow.
  • Self-directed in a healthy way: you take ownership, move forward proactively, and keep the team in the loop.
  • Basic understanding of machine learning and experience using ML/LLM tooling in products is nice to have.
  • Hands-on experience with Convex, or similar serverless backend platforms, and the ability to quickly become productive with it. Proficiency in Python is nice to have.
  • Exposure to AWS beyond Lambda/S3 (CloudFront, IAM basics, monitoring) is nice to have.
  • Experience contributing to or maintaining larger production codebases is nice to have.
