About the role
- Design modern, intuitive UI components that make complex developer workflows feel effortless.
- Craft visuals for product marketing—illustrations, diagrams, launch graphics, website assets, event visuals, social media creatives, and more.
- Collaborate across product, GTM, marketing, and engineering to deliver purposeful work.
- Own and evolve the Lens visual identity, from product UI to marketing visuals.
- Spearhead the implementation of the design system, ensuring consistency across the Lens experience.
- Design user interfaces for complex developer workflows in Kubernetes and create high-quality Figma designs, interactive prototypes, and production-ready visuals.
- Craft visual assets for product, web, events, social, and docs.
- Champion UI/UX quality across the organization and advocate for the user.
- Be a hands-on, foundational member as the first dedicated UI/UX Designer at Lens.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product design, UI/UX, or visual design, ideally within fast-paced product organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement modern, intuitive user interfaces, with a focus on developer tools or complex software products.
- A portfolio that highlights visual sophistication, design systems thinking, and a polished execution—with a style aligned to the clarity, precision, and modern aesthetic of Lens.
- Proficiency in Figma, including prototyping, visual asset creation, and design system development.
- Strong collaboration skills, with experience working closely with product management and engineering to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Familiarity with or interest in conducting user research and usability testing.
- Bonus: Experience designing for desktop applications or web-based developer platforms.
