About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and evaluate fire protection systems (alarm, detection, sprinkler, suppression, fire pumps)
Perform hydraulic calculations, system layouts, and equipment selection
Review A/E and contractor drawings for compliance with codes and NFPA standards
Conduct inspections, testing, fire hazard analyses, and field assessments
Develop life safety plans and fire safety programs
Prepare technical reports and recommend corrective actions
Provide guidance to project teams, contractors, and regulatory authorities
Support performance-based design using fire modeling and egress analysis
Deliver training and support system installation, maintenance, and upgrades

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Fire Protection or related field)
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
5+ years of engineering experience
3+ years of fire alarm and suppression system experience
U.S. Citizenship required
Healthcare or life safety code experience preferred
AutoCAD experience preferred
