About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Performs in-court updating including processing documents filed and distributed in the courtroom
  • Perform a variety of advanced clerical functions and multiple case types
  • Provide assistance to attorneys, parties, judges, and the public by responding to a variety of questions in person, over the phone, by mail, and/or electronically
  • Perform courtroom support by working with judges, court reporters, and other justice partners, calling cases, taking notes, and handling documents in the courtroom
  • Review, enter, record, and update case information using an electronic case processing system and related applications and equipment
  • Schedule and maintain court calendars
  • May perform the duties of an Electronic Recording Equipment Operator (EREO)
  • Attends and participates in division/team meetings and trainings; maintains knowledge of court policies, process, and procedures
  • May provide backup coverage for jury management – deliver orientation to prospective jurors and manage jurors during jury trials

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year of relevant job experience or greater, which may include but is not limited to customer service, administrative work, office, and clerical work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Certificate or degree in a related field (nice to have)
  • Basic knowledge of court procedures, policies, and records management (nice to have)
  • Experience with electronic document applications, workflow queues, and web-based video and audio platforms (nice to have)
