About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Client Consultation: Meet with clients to assess their eligibility for SSI/SSDI benefits
- Application Assistance: Assisting clients in completing SSI/SSDI applications accurately
- Appeals Representation: Representing clients in appeals hearings before administrative law judges
- Evidence Gathering: Collecting medical records, employment history, and other relevant documents

Requirements
What you’ll need- Admission to the Bar: The attorney should be licensed to practice law in at least one state
- Documentation of SSA authorization to represent disability claimants is required
- Specialization in Social Security Disability Law: Extensive experience and specialization in Social Security Disability law are desired
- Years of Experience: The attorney should have 4+ years of experience practicing in the field
- Litigation Skills: Strong litigation skills are paramount
- Expertise in Medical Evidence: Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to interpret medical records
- Strong Legal Research and Writing Skills
- Client Advocacy: The attorney should be a passionate advocate for their clients
