About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Take manual vital signs and document in the EMR
Assist providers with exams, diagnostic tests, and point-of-care testing
Administer immunizations, injections, and oral medications
Observe and record patient reactions
Perform phlebotomy and prepare lab specimens
Process labs, swabs, and other samples
Provide routine patient education and self-management support
Track preventive care needs, referrals, and follow-up items
Conduct outreach to patients and specialists for referrals, care gaps, and records
Manage patient flow throughout the care center
Set up exam and procedure rooms based on visit needs
Answer multi-line phones and assist with front desk duties when needed
Schedule appointments and support patient registration
Maintain inventory and restock supplies
Serve as an external-facing representative for the clinic
Travel to other sites for coverage or events as needed
Follow safety and infection-control protocols

Requirements

What you’ll need

1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
Phlebotomy experience required
Experience in Primary Care preferred
Athena EMR experience a plus
