About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Capture and review receipts and invoices, and learn how our automated booking suggestions are generated and how to check them properly.
- Get hands-on with the books: accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank, and cash will quickly become part of your day-to-day.
- Support monthly closings, VAT pre-filings (UStVA), and reporting.
- Work closely with experienced colleagues from our accounting and product teams, and gradually take ownership of your own client accounts.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Some initial experience in accounting (approximately 1 year) whether from vocational training, a student job, an internship, or a career change.
- A basic understanding of booking logic; initial exposure to VAT pre-filings (UStVA) is a plus.
- An appetite for digital tools and processes that are still evolving — and the ability to teach yourself new skills.
- Attention to detail, willingness to learn, initiative, and team spirit.
- English at B2/C1 level (team language) and German at minimum B2 — solid German is required for tax and accounting terminology (HGB, UStVA, DATEV).
