About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide oversight to candidate fulfillment of field experience teaching requirements.
- Provide quality control oversight of candidate unit and lesson plans utilized in field experience placements.
- Observe candidates in their field experience placements.
- Conduct a post-observation discussion with candidates.
- Provide timely communication with the instructor of courses associated with field experience placement.
- Complete CPAST and STE rubric trainings.
- Respond and effectively communicate with the Director of the School of Teacher Education.
- Work with the Office Manager to collect and submit assignments with rubrics for data collection.
- Utilize current technologies and incorporate current topics as they relate to course materials.
- Other pertinent duties as assigned by the Director or Chair.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must possess excellent communication skills to work effectively with individuals and groups.
- Must be flexible in scheduling.
- Have a valid Oklahoma teaching certificate for the area(s) being taught.
- Must demonstrate evidence of an active faith walk with Jesus Christ.
- Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver's license.
- Have a master's degree in education, Doctorate preferred.
- Possess an active Oklahoma Teaching Certificate in the areas of Early Childhood, Elementary Education, or Secondary Education.
- Demonstrate effective teaching skills.
- Classroom teacher observation experience, CPAST, TLE, or Marzano experience preferred.
- Value teaching students and wish to contribute fully to the life and mission of the University.
- Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
- Online Course Management System (Canvas or similar)
