About the role
- The Manager, Contracts & Billing acts as a lead for general accounting functions with emphasis on month-end close, financial reporting and analysis.
Represents Accounting & Billing during assigned client implementations and partners with Implementation, Sales and Account Management to translate RFPs and client billing requirements into capital needs or FTE resources.
Assists in client implementation project planning, communicates billing and finance risks, and supervises rebate accounting and disbursement function.
Collaborates on Finance Transformation and process improvements; participates in capital project planning, variance analysis and provides information to FP&A for forecasting and budgeting models.
Serves as functional Billing and Accounting expert, mentors finance staff, and participates in compliance and DEI initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required with a major in Accounting/Finance/Economics desired; MBA/CMA/CPA preferred.
Minimum of five years of managerial experience in accounting, FP&A or billing and collections.
A minimum five years of accounting and/or revenue cycle management experience is required.
A minimum of one-year experience in public accounting or two years in a technical accounting role in a corporate setting is desired.
Minimum of three years of experience utilizing an automated billing solution in a dynamic environment.
Knowledge and experience with financial system applications/ERP software such as Oracle (ORMB/Fusion), SAP, NetSuite, etc. are preferred.
Advanced Excel skills including demonstrated proficiency with VLOOKUP, SUMIF and CONCATENATE formulas as well as pivot tables are required.
Candidate must have experience with accounting software.
Experience in the health care/PBM industry is highly preferred.
