About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate Benefits Navigators and assist with case processing as part of the Healthcare Access Project.
  • Recruit and coordinate with volunteer Benefits Navigators.
  • Create training materials and provide ongoing training and coordination to Navigators working on the program.
  • Process intakes, interact with clients and assist in administrative tasks related to case handling and clinics, requiring travel throughout the 13-county service area.
  • Supervised by MAP’s Pro Bono Director and work closely with the Healthcare Project Staff Attorney, based out of MAP’s Ypsilanti office with the option for hybrid work up to two days per week.

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to serving low-income individuals and underserved populations through lived or learned experience.
  • Comfortable working with a high volume of cases and volunteers.
  • Benefits experience is preferred, but not required.

  • Starting salary is from $47,754 depending on experience.
