About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist attorneys with their cases
  • Participate in office-wide projects and client services
  • Handle some cases on their own as a DOJ-accredited representative
  • Resubmit DOJ-accreditation applications if previously accredited or pending

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • An associate’s degree or commensurate professional experience
  • A high level of Spanish proficiency
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem‐solving skills
  • A demonstrated commitment to protecting the rights of immigrants or other persons in poverty
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Proficient with major software and web services including Word, Excel, G Suite
  • Experience related to immigration and poverty is preferred
  • Prior experience with immigration law preferred
  • Relevant lived experience is encouraged
