Key responsibilities & impact

Inspecting and monitoring utility construction projects involving natural gas, electric, telecommunications, and municipal infrastructure.
Ensuring all construction activities comply with safety regulations, approved plans, specifications, and applicable federal, state, local, and company standards.
Serving as a third-party representative of the utility or facility owner.
Playing a critical role in protecting public safety, infrastructure integrity, and project quality.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience or knowledge in natural gas, electric, telecommunications, or municipal utility construction is preferred, but not required.
Strong understanding of utility safety practices, excavation standards, and damage prevention requirements.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and utility maps.
Comfortable working independently in the field and navigating multiple locations daily.
Proficient with mobile technology and electronic reporting systems such as ArcGIS -Survey123 and/or Field Maps is preferred, but not required.
Experience with GPS instruments such as Trimble and/or Topcon preferred, but not required.
