About the role
- Performs routine code review and analysis.
- Performs routine design calculations and sizes standard equipment.
- Follows design standards set by the Project Manager, Lead Engineer, and Engineer of Record.
- Researches and presents equipment and design options to the Project Manager, Lead Engineer, and Engineer of Record.
- Follows company master design standards.
- Ensures that the QA/QC process is followed and documented.
- Develops a working knowledge of all system types within their discipline.
- Develops knowledge of current design trends and best practices.
- Directs less experienced technical staff in how to perform routine design tasks and routine calculations.
- Trains EIT’s and designers how to perform routine calculations and system layouts.
- Creates project specific details, schematics, and sketches.
- Assembles specifications, including project specific information.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field from an accredited university or college
- At least 4 years of related building systems design experience
- Proficient in Revit and/or AutoCAD
- Microsoft Office Suite of products experience
- Ability to pass company and client background checks
