Contract Vegetation Program Manager

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide supervisory oversight and expert guidance in line clearance tree pruning and vegetation management
- Assist with operations and process improvement initiatives
- Clarify expectations and program direction for contractors
- Monitor progress of pre-inspection and tree work completion
- Perform database sleuthing to identify issues
- Assist with agency meetings and field visits
- Manage projects and contract review process
Requirements
What you’ll need- A two-year degree in forestry or a related field
- Two (2) years’ experience in line clearance tree pruning work or equivalent
- Familiar with Contractor's work practices
- Knowledge of proper arboricultural techniques and practices
- Knowledge of integrated pest management practices
- Familiarity with PG&E's Tree Pruning Specification 5404 and Pre-Inspection Specification 4851
