About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Translate the practice's clinical standards, business priorities, and growth strategy into consistent day-to-day execution
  • Lead and develop the leadership team, including Clinical Supervisors, Operations Manager, and HR Consultant
  • Strengthen team culture, organizational systems, accountability, and professional development
  • Lead outreach and marketing efforts with internal and external partners
  • Conduct initial IOP intakes, assess clinical needs and fit, and assign clients to appropriate primary clinicians
  • Lead recurring leadership and team meetings with agendas, decisions, owners, deadlines, and follow-through
  • Serve as senior escalation point for complex staff, client, clinical, and operational matters
  • Guide performance management, difficult conversations, conflict resolution, and organizational change
  • Maintain high standards of care and consistent clinical operations
  • Oversee adherence to practice policies, procedures, and operational standards
  • Monitor recurring operational issues, identify root causes, and lead process improvements
  • Provide individual and group counseling within the practice's weight-inclusive/Health at Every Size framework
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers on clients' care teams
  • Maintain timely documentation of client services and provider communications
  • Lead implementation of a financially sustainable Intensive Outpatient Program from feasibility through ongoing optimization
  • Develop the IOP operating model, staffing plan, program structure, timeline, referral strategy, and performance dashboard
  • Coordinate clinical, operational, financial, compliance, payer, and referral-development stakeholders for program launch
  • Execute strategic initiatives with the Practice Owner and identify solutions to challenges
  • Establish clinical, operational, utilization, revenue, and outcome measures
  • Evaluate additional services or initiatives to improve access, strengthen the practice, or generate sustainable revenue
  • Maintain an initial caseload of approximately 12–15 client sessions per week and dedicate approximately 20–25 hours weekly to leadership and administrative responsibilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current independent clinical licensure in Massachusetts as an LICSW or licensed psychologist
  • Professional qualifications and authority to initiate an emergency psychiatric hospitalization when clinically indicated
  • Significant experience in clinical leadership, healthcare operations, behavioral health, nutrition, specifically in eating disorder treatment
  • Demonstrated experience managing people, preferably managers, supervisors, or other leaders
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects from planning through implementation and sustain accountability after launch
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound judgment and comfort navigating sensitive personnel and client matters
  • Ability to interpret operational and business data and translate it into decisions, priorities, and action
  • Ability to balance clinical quality, staff needs, client experience, operational discipline, and business sustainability
  • Independent, driven, collaborative, and aligned with a weight-inclusive/body liberation HAES framework
