About the role

  • Work collaboratively with the Proposal Manager and conform to established Metric5 proposal development practices
  • Analyze available data and identify expiring contracts and opportunities that fit Metric5's growth priorities.
  • Support proposals, RFIs, and other responses in alignment with company best practices and opportunity information
  • Collaborate with employees and teaming partners as needed to identify new business opportunities.
  • Work with Account Directors and the Growth leadership of the firm to refine and focus pursuits.
  • Support capture activities through data and coordination of solution responses.
  • Understand and maintain records of solicitation release dates, amendments, submission deadlines, and competitive intelligence.
  • Generate and analyze recurring reports (e.g., weekly, monthly) on critical pipeline health metrics, including win/loss rates, proposal volume, stage transitions, and resource utilization, to inform executive-level decision-making and forecast future resource needs for proposal development.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 to 4+ years of experience in business development or proposal development
  • Positive and effective interpersonal style and demeanor
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, attention to detail, and research skills
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently without hands-on supervision
  • Must have demonstrated successful, proficient, professional and technical writing skills combined with mastery of writing fundamentals (grammar, punctuation, etc.) as used in professional business writing
  • Must have excellent computer and technical skills and knowledge of report writing software; expertise in MS Office, MS SharePoint, and Adobe PDF products required
  • Knowledge and experience in federal government contracting and proposal development
  • Understanding of proposal team, color team reviews, and proposal milestones
