About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Understand the financial needs of Members and provide appropriate advice and recommendations
Offer large or complex credit and investment advice
Identify and promote opportunities for Meridian products and services
Manage Member portfolios to build and develop relationships
Proactively engage in revenue generating and sales-based activities
Foster and deepen Member relationships and refer business to other channels
Serve Members with excellence and understand how Meridian’s products and services can add value
Provide investment advice by identifying solutions that meet Member needs
Open new Member accounts and hold or obtain Mutual fund accreditation
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure value added delivery of Member centric products/solutions
Champion and implement corporate strategies and programs for the Contact Centre
Maintain discretion and confidentiality to respect Members privacy.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Post-secondary education
At least 3 years of equivalent work experience in a financial services sales environment with a proven track record in sales
At minimum MFDA licensing is required
Strong business acumen and financial industry knowledge
Excellent organizational and Member service skills
Strong knowledge of computer systems
Flexible to work all scheduled hours which include evenings and weekends
Strong negotiation, interpersonal, written and oral communications skills
Must be able to mitigate and resolve Member Concerns
Effective organizational time management, and problem-solving skills; ability to grasp concepts and processes quickly; demonstrated ability to partner and influence.
Ability to collaborate with leadership to develop plans and recommendations that support the achievement of Meridian’s strategic objectives.
