About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Bringing the new Werribee Mercy Hospital Emergency Department to life.
- Delivering engaging, accurate and timely communications that support staff readiness and pride during commissioning and opening.
- Clearly explaining new ED features, models of care and patient pathways.
- Building understanding, trust and confidence within the local community and with priority stakeholders.
- Reflecting and respecting the multicultural communities served by Werribee Mercy Hospital.
- Supporting other areas of the business from time to time as required.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong stakeholder relationship management skills, including with senior leaders and external government agencies.
- Comfortable working under pressure and managing competing deadlines.
- Highly proactive, solutions focused and comfortable working with minimal direction.
- Strong planning, prioritisation and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a broader team.
- Strong alignment with the mission and values of Mercy Health.
- Advanced writing skills across multiple formats, including storytelling, explanatory content and operational messaging.
- Stakeholder relations experience and engagement with local community groups preferred.
- Event coordination with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated project management and organisation skills.
- Strong understanding of risk identification and issues escalation.
- Digital literacy, including internal platforms, websites and social media.
- Cultural awareness and inclusive communication practice.
- A current Police Record Check.
