Key responsibilities & impact
  • Bringing the new Werribee Mercy Hospital Emergency Department to life.
  • Delivering engaging, accurate and timely communications that support staff readiness and pride during commissioning and opening.
  • Clearly explaining new ED features, models of care and patient pathways.
  • Building understanding, trust and confidence within the local community and with priority stakeholders.
  • Reflecting and respecting the multicultural communities served by Werribee Mercy Hospital.
  • Supporting other areas of the business from time to time as required.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management skills, including with senior leaders and external government agencies.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and managing competing deadlines.
  • Highly proactive, solutions focused and comfortable working with minimal direction.
  • Strong planning, prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a broader team.
  • Strong alignment with the mission and values of Mercy Health.
  • Advanced writing skills across multiple formats, including storytelling, explanatory content and operational messaging.
  • Stakeholder relations experience and engagement with local community groups preferred.
  • Event coordination with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated project management and organisation skills.
  • Strong understanding of risk identification and issues escalation.
  • Digital literacy, including internal platforms, websites and social media.
  • Cultural awareness and inclusive communication practice.
  • A current Police Record Check.
