About the role
- Work with older adults to support independent living in their homes
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide tailored recommendations
- Include education, strategy development, assistive technology prescription, and home modifications
- Be part of a supportive team of Occupational Therapists and Allied Health Assistants
- Collaborate, contribute, and grow professionally across services
Requirements
- A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration
- A valid and current unrestricted driver’s license
- Demonstrated understanding and experience of aged care issues, the aged care service system (My Aged Care) and empathy with older adults is essential
- The ability to work autonomously, make decisions, organise own workload and monitor own performance to achieve predetermined targets
- A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management
- The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment
- Evidence of, or in the process of obtaining: A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check
- Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
