About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Evaluate generative music AI models in partnership with a leading AI lab
Compare AI-generated songs head-to-head on musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production/mix quality
Label songs by genre, structure, instruments, vocals, and other musical characteristics
Review AI-generated lyrics and vocals against reference material for quality and accuracy
Work in Mandarin Chinese and English
Upload a resume and complete the application and onboarding steps
Collaborate with leading researchers on projects training and enhancing AI systems

Requirements

What you’ll need

Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese
Ability to follow detailed written instructions in English
2+ years of experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or mixing engineer
Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening
Independent contractor engagement
Must complete the Bilingual Competency Interview in Mandarin Chinese
H1-B or STEM OPT candidates are not supported
Formal training in music performance, theory, or composition (nice to have)
Credited or commercially released production, engineering, or mixing work (nice to have)
Broad familiarity with contemporary Mandarin Chinese genres, sub-genres, and artists (nice to have)
